Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. the oldest African American sorority was founded in 1908 at Howard University. A major purpose of the sorority is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, maintain a progressive interest in college life and to be a service to all mankind.
Zeta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will once again award scholarships to deserving high school seniors, for the 2011 – 2012 academic year. If you meet the requirements listed below we encourage you to apply.
Additional Requirements
• Completed application (Please print using black or blue ink)
• Official transcript (sealed in envelope from school official)
• Photograph (no larger than 3 1/2 x 5)
• Three letters of reference ~ (Two faculty members from your high school ~
1 community/church affiliation ~ No family members)
• Application and all additional requirements must be postmarked by
March 2, 2012.
